Melissa understands how to stand aside and let Spirit work through her. She channels her guided meditations from the other side in order to help heal those with stress, sleep, weight, addiction and depression issues.

Melissa owns and operates Balance Studio Spa in Felton CA, a full service holistic fitness and wellness spa in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She has produced fitness and meditation DVDs and CDs and has co-hosted local talk radio. Her book, The Key to Life is...Balance, was released Fall 2008. She is frequently quoted and has had several articles published on the subject of holistic wellness in the local media. Melissa's intention is to help others find balance in their lives, using the tools of fitness, body/energy work, meditation and nutrition.

Melissa knows what it feels like to be overweight, depressed and lacking in self esteem; after suffering for years she took matters into her own hands and developed a yoga and Pilates practice - the first step on her life long journey towards wellness. Melissa graduated from Cypress Health Institute in Santa Cruz, CA. She integrated this comprehensive education with additional training in massage, polarity and fitness into a holistic practice, reshaping her body - and her life - in the process. Her success with her own body and her life inspired her to give back, to pass on her knowledge and help others find what she had found - total wellness. In 2003, Melissa left her 20 year corporate career to open Balance Studio Spa.

Melissa discovered that the key to changing her life was to change the way energy flowed through her body. By gathering energy and clearing energy blockages she found that the healing energy flowed more smoothly though her body - redirecting her path towards total health.
