Lauren provides nutritional counseling to both adults and children with a variety of concerns. Her areas of expertise include weight management, polycystic ovarian syndrome and eating disorders. Lauren also provides counseling to clients on the following topics, cardiac rehabilitation, sports nutrition, gastrointestinal disorders, thyroid disorders, cancer, menopause, pregnancy, lactation, sports nutrition, and overall wellness.
As a registered dietitian Lauren’s mission is to help transform people’s lives through nutrition counseling. She takes her client’s lifestyles into account and takes great time and care into learning about each and every one of her clients. Lauren’s counseling encompasses much more than merely food and diet analysis. She not only acts as a weight management coach, but she also incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy in her practice. She helps her clients recognize their behaviors, analyze those behaviors, and then transform those behaviors to help them achieve their goals. Lauren’s perceptive nature allows her to fully understand her client’s needs and to connect with them on all levels.
Lauren has a clientele that includes high-profile professionals and Olympic athletes to stay at home moms and their children. Lauren has been published in many health and nutrition articles, and has appeared on news broadcasts as a leading nutrition authority. Lauren lectures regularly at corporate events and has conducted corporate wellness programs. As part of Lauren’s enduring effort to promote self-esteem in young women Lauren has pioneered a program at The Chapin School for Girls in New York City called the Healthy Eating Committee dedicated to educating young women on eating healthy and body acceptance while preventing eating disorders.
Lauren received her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health from Hofstra University and a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Food Science from New York University. Lauren became a registered dietitian through New York Presbyterian Hospital - Cornell Campus. She started her career as the registered dietitian at The Sports Club/LA in New York City and then maintained a private practice in New York City. She moved to New Jersey and was the registered dietitian at The Gym in Englewood before starting her private practice in Englewood and Ridgewood New Jersey. Lauren is a certified dietitian and nutritionist and has earned her certificate in Adult Weight Management from The American Dietetic Association. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, The New Jersey Dietetic Association and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs and the Women’s Health Dietary Practice Group.
