Since a young age I have wanted to bring people to better health, but it wasn’t until a sports injury lead me to a Chiropractor, that I knew how to do that. Sustaining a back injury during a soccer game caused me to give up my chance to play collegiate soccer, but being an athlete that couldn’t sit still, I decided to run collegiate cross county and track at Mansfield University.
At Mansfield, aside from earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, I was introduced to a local Chiropractor who helped heal my back and encouraged me to pursue a career in Chiropractic. During my time spent at New York Chiropractic College, I have learned many things that have shaped me into the doctor I have strived to become from a young age. I have a firm belief that by removing obstacles affecting the body, whether they are structural, chemical or even mental, the body will be able to heal itself. I also believe that food is the best medicine and therefore works closely with patients on the dietary choices.
At school, I was a chiropractic intern at the Seneca Falls Health Clinic, but also did rounds at the Bath VA Hospital, St. Joseph’s center, Monroe Community Hospital, Montanaro Chiropractic, local colleges and sporting events. Through my education I have become familiar with graston, activator, myofascial release technique, flexion distraction technique, diversified technique, drop table technique, and various modalities. I am a certified Applied Kinesiology practitioner and have been trained in a technique called Nutrition Response Testing. With these techniques I can determine the underlying cause and how to accurately solve it. I also have advance certification in Sports Medicine and Personal training.
My mission is to provide outstanding care by helping people improve their health through chiropractic and nutrition and to encourage, energize and educate people to take control of their health and create and maintain life long health goals. I am looking forward to meeting you and helping you feel the best you can!
