It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last appointment. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. I don't think I have ever been put on hold here for a long time and am so impressed with how quickly all of my questions are answered. There's nothing worse than having to wait on hold for a half an hour just to get someone to talk to you. They had quite a few interesting magazines, which made my time in the waiting room go by much faster.
I visited this doctor and he was friendly but very very late. Do not schedule anything after the appointment or else you will miss it. I had some foot pain in the ball of my foot and all the doctor recommended was some cheap looking generic orthotics for $50. They helped a little but I still had pain. I went to another doc and he said that all I needed to do was put some padding so that the ball of my foot doesn't touch my shoe. I got rid of the orthotics and now just use some little silicone pads for $5 and it works great. I think this doc had mentioned padding the area as well but he seemed more interested in selling me a pair of orthotics than really fixing my pain.
Dr. Alavy is the best physician my family has come across. My mom is diabetic and the wellnesses of her feet are a big concern. Although she only speaks Spanish, Dr Alavy is patient and really goes out of his way to make sure she understands his diagnosis. When my ninety-five year old grandmother was alive, we trusted no other to see her podiatry needs. He demonstrated his professional and caring attitude towards her medical condition holistically. Although I live in Arizona, being a “border-line” diabetic, if I have a real concern about my feet, I visit Dr. Alavy in West Covina. Jehovah bless Dr. Alavy and his wonderful staff.
