About

Neil Doherty III, MD

Our mission is to provide the best private cardiology care in the San Gabriel Valley.

Our immediate goal is to reduce by 25%, death and premature disability from heart disease and stroke in the East San Gabriel Valley, between the years of 2010 and 2020. This corresponds with the American Heart Associations goal for the USA.

Dr. Doherty expects half of the reduction in premature cardiovascular death and disability to result from acute treatments such as urgent stents for heart attacks and early recognition of heart problems through consultation and appropriate imagin tests, at our state of the art facility.

The other half of the goal will result from preventative treatments: including medications, diet, and exercising to improve lipids and treat blood pressure.

I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. They were running right on time, which is a really big deal for me. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected them. It made me that much more confident that I was under the care of a professional. Dr. Doherty is the best at what he does. He sits next to you every time and goes over every test result. He takes the time to answer all my questions. His wife Vivian is his Nurse Practitioner who works with him. He sees patients first then sales reps. He also has a sense of humor and explains his course of treatment so you can understand it. He has all the advance heart testing done in his office. My other doctors know and recommend him. He is highly educated and a leader in his field.

I met Dr. Doherty when I had been admitted through the ER due to heart problems. He was extremely kind and very concerned for my condition. THIS is extremely rare nowadays. He said he would be happy to see me as an outpatient and was quite concerned over an issue I was having with my chest pain. After leaving the hospital, I have dealt with a wonderful young lady in the billing department trying to arrange for my insurance to allow me to continue with Dr. Doherty. She has worked so hard in trying to help me. I have even changed insurances to keep him! I had my initial visit and am awaiting referral so I can follow up with needed tests. I have been referred to different cardiologists, but will not go. I want to continue to see Dr. Doherty.
